THE DAILY DRUMBEAT

What happens between the sessions

The calendar above shows thirty-six evenings. The course is decided in the hours between them.

Weeks 1–7
Homework, nightly
Every session ends with a task. Quota check-in opens the next session, and a zero day is explained aloud in front of the room.
Weeks 8–12
1 proposal / day
The minimum, every single day, each one instructor-reviewed before a credit is spent. Two a day where a family can fund the credits.
Throughout
Office hours
Registration follow-through, verification problems and blocked paperwork are handled outside class. Class time never touches paperwork twice.
BEFORE THIS IS FIXED

Four things Mr Ali must confirm

  1. Cambridge examination weeks. This draft assumes no collision. If any O or A-Level session falls inside 5 October – 28 December, those weeks must move before the calendar is published to families. This is the single most likely reason the dates change.
  2. The exact evening slot — 6:00–8:00 PM or 7:00–9:00 PM — and the room held for all three evenings across twelve weeks.
  3. Public holidays and academy closures falling on a teaching evening, so replacement nights are agreed in advance rather than improvised.
  4. The two Saturdays — the group bank appointment on 17 October and the Demonstration Evening on 2 January 2027.

⚠ The December problem — decide this before publishing dates to families

A 1 October start puts weeks 10, 11 and 12 in December, and those are the supervised hunting weeks the entire outcome depends on. Two collisions are already visible: 25 December is Quaid-e-Azam Day, a public holiday, and the final fortnight runs into the winter break at most schools.

Session 36 has been moved to Monday 28 December in the table above, with the Demonstration Evening on Saturday 2 January 2027. That works — but if the academy closes for a winter break, the alternative is to run weeks 1–9 to 4 December, pause, and finish weeks 10–12 in the first half of January. Mr Ali needs to confirm the academy's December closure dates before this calendar goes to any parent.
